Solstice Solar Eclipse Healing Meditation

In a few days here in the northern hemisphere, we will once again witness the longest day of the year - the summer solstice. The solstice at midsummer was a time of celebration for ancient peoples across the globe, as it marked the full return of the light to the earth.
It signalled the beginning of summer and was of course an important time for those who worked and tended the land. However it also signified a sacred time of light and fire - of action, passion, courage and enthusiasm; many festivals were held in every far flung corner of the world to celebrate these concepts and beliefs and often feasts were prepared and bonfires lit to commemorate this important day of sunlight.
The solstices remind us that everything is in divine time and order; they constitute moments of the solar year which highlight the perfect balance between the light and shadow in both physical and spiritual terms. On the other side of the planet of course in the southern hemisphere, the shortest day of the year will mirror our shortest night, for their winter solstice.
The word solstice derives from the Latin 'Sol' (the sun) and 'sistere' (to stand still) - aptly describing 'the day the sun stands still' either side of the planet.
Stillness is of course the meditative place where we can begin to integrate the wisdom gleaned from our soul searching introspection - which makes the time of the solstice a perfect one for embracing the properties of the elements it champions: the light and the fire - in order to cleanse and heal our energies, our thoughts, our physical bodies and our emotions.
This year, not only does the summer solstice coincide with a rare annular solar eclipse (dubbed 'the ring of fire' due to the visual effect it will afford from certain parts of the world's surface), but it is also happening in the midst of many planetary retrogrades - namely, Venus, Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Neptun and Mercury (phew!)
These alignments for many, seem somewhat auspicious and theories abound regarding key points in history when the planets were similarly positioned and where huge changes were recorded as having taken place socially and culturally. Whether this rings true for you or not, it seems a poignant moment in our collective story at this time here on earth; one that we may feel unable to grasp, control or steer easily.
We can however, steer our own ship - our inner being - by focusing on the light without and within ('as above, so below - as within, so without') and take just a few moments to meditate on the symbolic element of fire, cleansing away all that no longer serves us collectively as well as individually and by focussing on the light bringing clarity, understanding, compassion, fairness and love to ourselves and to humanity as a whole - since we are all connected.
Over the last twelve weeks the whole country, and indeed the world, has been unable to enjoy the coming of the light through the spring months towards the summer solstice in the way we might normally have done. It therefore feels more important than ever to look within and find that light at our very core.
Here is a short tapping meditation that you may wish to follow, to help visualise the cleansing away of all that does not serve our highest good as a planet and as a people sharing it - in order to embrace the higher aspects of ourselves and reach our potential as beings of light.
Following the usual tapping points as outlined in earlier posts:

Chin CH Collar Bone CB Under Arm UA Top of Head TH * it is still advised not to use the under nose point, however I simply imagine I'm tapping there and keep my hand at a distance from my face at this point - you may miss it out altogether if you prefer.
Take a deep cleansing breath in through the nose for the count of four, hold for two and breathe out through the mouth for the count of six. As you release the breath, begin to feel your body relax.
Repeat this a second time - focussing on the place between your solar plexus and sacral chakras and breathe into this point of the belly, filling it up slowly to the count of four. Hold for the count to two and imagine a golden light filling this area of your body as you do so. Then release to the count of six, through the mouth and feel your body relax even more.
As you breathe in a third deep cleansing breath, breathing in through the nose for the count of four and again holding for the count of two, whilst imagining the golden light filling your belly and spreading between the solar plexus and sacral chakras; then releasing the breath through the mouth for the count of six and can feeling this golden light spread it's warmth further throughout your body.
Begin tapping now:
SH: I am open to the symbolic fire element of the summer solstice and solar eclipse energetically cleansing all that no longer serves me, all that no longer serves the planet nor the people with whom I share it and I am open to the light pouring in to offer clarity, healing, understanding and love - and I love, honour and accept myself and every person in the collective completely.
*Repeat this three times - you may wish to use your own words - use whatever words feel right and true for you.

SE: I am open to releasing all that is not working towards my highest good or the highest good of all now. UE: I am open to allowing the light of the summer solstice to pour into me now and fill me up for my highest good and the highest good of all. UN: I am open to releasing all unhelpful thoughts and emotions now. CH: I am open to the light pouring in and giving me clarity now; filling me up with love, compassion and understanding for myself and others. CB: I am open to feeling this cleansing of all that no longer serves me nor the collective consciousness of the planet. UA: I am open to breathing in the golden healing light of the solstice energy and feeling it fill my very being from the solar plexus through the sacral chakra and spreading outwards in every direction. TH: I am open to releasing all that no longer serves me or the world collectively and I let the symbol of the solstice fire gently cleanse those unhelpful energies away; allowing the golden healing light pour in to help me and the collective consciousness reach our highest possible selves.
EB: This symbolic solstice fire element, energetically cleansing all that no longer serves me. SE: I am releasing all that works against my highest good or the highest good of all now. UE: I am allowing the golden light of the summer solstice to pour into me now, filling me up for my highest good and the highest good of all. UN: I am releasing all unhelpful thoughts and emotions now - may they gently be cleansed away. CH: I am allowing the light to pour in and give me clarity now - filling me up with love, compassion and understanding for myself and others. CB: I feel this gentle, complete cleansing of all that no longer serves me or the collective consciousness of the planet. UA: I am breathing in the golden healing light of the solstice and feel it fill my very being from the solar plexus through the sacral charkra, spreading outwards in every direction. TH: I am releasing all that no longer serves me or the world collectively and I let the fire symbol of the solstice gently cleanse those unhelpful energies away; allowing the golden healing light to pour in helping me and the collective consciousness reach our highest possible selves, for my highest good and the highest good of all souls on the planet.
Take a deep breath in through the nose for the count of four, hold for two and release through the mouth for the count of six.
Take another breath in the same way.
On the third breath, feel your hands and feel your feet.
As you exhale, open your eyes and look softly around the room. Notice any circular objects in your field of vision and notice how you feel.
You may wish to repeat the tapping script more times - there is no right or wrong way to do this. Some people use tapping just a couple of minutes a day and others set aside an hour. You may also wish to use other words that you feel more comfortable with - just remember to acknowledge, accept and release any negative feelings that may be swimming around in your mind and body and embrace the positive feelings of love, compassion and understanding - for yourself and for everyone on earth.
